Australia Based New Zealander Opiuo has brought us a new four track EP from the Outback.  His always great glitch and breakbeat comes at us once again, but this time with an even more artistic approach, showing how clearly live his production process is.

Opiuo is shrouded in mystery and has yet to really conquer the US with a massive tour, but I would bet that we will see that flyer soon enough.

Opiuo sent the world that is his mailing list an email this morning announcing 2 new albums and a load of new remixes to be released in 2012.

While we wait for all those goodies, he gives us a release that he has been sitting on for about 2 years.

This collaboration with The Mollusk, another glitch producer from Australia, is a new favorite from my favorite hard glitch producer.

Opiuo in the states for a solid tour would be a dream come true.

Bogan Protein – Opiuo

New Zealand’s Opiuo, now a resident in the great continent country that is Australia, has been cranking out the acid crunk glitch hop for some time now.

This track is a quintessential Opiuo style.  This track is like many Opiuo bangers, a party starter.  Side-chained sub bass never sounded so good. Give it a listen and see what this guy’s all about.  I can confidently say you won’t be dissapointed.

After unreal shows all over the small festival circuit this summer, he’s sure to be re-booked in the states for the coming months.

In fact, our friends at Euphonic Conceptions are bringing him to Cervantes Masterpiece Ballroom on September 23rd, 2011.  The show is titled RE:Creation, with headliners Opiuo and Jakwob
