Filled with some trill beats to set your week off right, this mixtape features production from favorites Clams Casino and AraabMuzik. I was fortunate enough to see these guys in London this summer where A$AP had his pricey rolly stolen…that was a crazy night. On the heels of his latest “Swimming Pools (Drank)” single, Kendrick Lamar decided to release this keeper as part of Top Dawg Entertainment Appreciation Week. The track features a special guest spot from Young Jeezy, and of course, Lamar’s signature voice. Top Dawg, formerly an independent label, signed a joint venture with Aftermath Entertainment and Interscope Records back in the Spring so it’s needless to say that big things are expected from this rising star. The Compton born rapper’s major label debut entitled: good kid, m.A.A.d. city, is dropping October 2nd and you can also catch him at the Ogden on October 8th. Enjoy!
GRiZ bringing the HEAT with his brand new “future funk banger” called The Future Is Now, a funky saxophone-driven midtempo bass jam that is sure to get your feet moving. If you get the chance to see GRiZ live this summer I would highly recommend it as he puts on a great show full energy and big bass lines.
