Well Well Well, if it isn’t our good friend Mr. Menert. This 27 track album is truly a gift and we appreciate all the hard work Michal and his friends have put into it. It has that classic Menert sound with some new approaches on downtempo electronic that we haven’t heard much of before. Menert truly has his own sound and with this second full length album, it is clear that he is here to stay.

With punching horns, high quality vocal sampling and resampling, and great drums with that classic Menert synth work, you can expect nothing but the best listening experience when running through this album. Notable tracks are: ‘After The Rain’, ‘Sky City’, ‘New Heights’, ‘The Golden Rule’, ‘Words Unspoken’, and ‘The Wind And The Walls’.

Ill-Mannered is a Colorado based trio comprised of Matt Stafford, Eric Imbrosciano, and Tyler Crawford Unland.

These guys haven’t been around long, but their debut EP in April brought them up quickly as a staple Colorado act.

As we all know, the producer life in Colorado is a tough one with the heavy saturation of electronic music artists filling the universities throughout the state.

They just finished playing with Eliot Lipp last week (12/9/11) in Fort Collins.

Here is there newest track, “Everybody Say” and its a great one for sure.

It has the quintessential Colorado glitch sounds with an Ill-Mannered twist.

This track is available for free download and is a great addition to any iTunes library.

Another week of The Hot Shit has come and gone and we now have the audio for you, to DOWNLOAD.

The host, Derek Vincent Smith, who you may know as Pretty Lights, dropped tracks from all over the place this week, including a bunch of unreleased stuff from his fellow producers in the scene.

In this week’s episode, we hear a lot of newer Pretty Lights, the Pretty Lights that is becoming the accepted “mainstream electronic music”.

Clean drums, classic vocals transposed up and unbelievable sampling work done by Mr. Vincent Smith.
