Eminence Ensemble was born and formed in Colorado, playing music together since they were about 14 years old in Summit County.
The band is driven by heavy bass grooves, and progressive climactic riffs, sure to produce a very powerful live show.
Eminence Ensemble has an extensive background in jazz/classical studies which has greatly aided them when it comes to onstage improvisation
The music fits many genres ranging from heavy rock/funk all the way to a more modern electronic sound.
Some people choose to call the music progressive electronic rock. The Band consists of 2 guitars, Bass/bass synth, Keys, Drums, and Auxiliary percussion.

Cody Yozipovic has been in the Boulder electronic scene for some time now and has proven that he can destroy on any sized venue with his glitch-based originals and funky live synth work.
Cody has opened for such acts as EOTO, Robotic Pirate Monkey, Bonobo, Rusko, Thievery Corporation, Major Lazer, The Disco Biscuits Chali 2na (Jurassic 5), Pnuma Trio, Bluetech, Emancipator, Break Science, Mimosa, Heyoka, Eprom, Michal Menert, Eskmo, Papadosio, Chris Berry Trio, Michael Kang (S.C.I.), Lazer Sword, Alex B, Juno What?!, Whiskey Blanket, Big Gigantic, Two Fresh, Virtual Boy, Vibesquad, Spectre, Phutureprimitive, OTT, Fresh2Death, Blockhead, Samiyam, Ras G, Lorn, Marty Party, The New Deal, Invisible Allies, Archnemesis, Dibiase and Siren.

Blending elements of rock, jazz, funk, reggae, dub, dance music, psychedelia and live-tronica, Common Ties produces a synthesized style of music sure to both entice and surprise any pre-determined palate.
Lineup at present includes Michael Lee Mahan -on bass, Ableton Live, and vocals; Dylan Brackett -on keys; Chris Anderson -on percussion; and Michael Salka -on guitar, bass, and vocals.
Influences range from the classic sounds of the Doors, the Pixies, the Clash, the Red Hot Chili Peppers, and the Talking Heads, to the radically new sounds of EOTO, Radiohead, Lotus, STS9, TV On The Radio, and the Flaming Lips.
The experimentation essential to Common Ties makes for an ever-entertaining and dynamic live show, perfectly suited to dancing, ‘chilling’, or just generally ‘getting your freak on’. As we like to say, Common Ties is here “bringing it all together”.
